Fused Silica/Quartz glass used is made of high purity synthetic quartz. This type of material is also known as "Fused Silica". The crystal clear amorphous silicon dioxide material contains only silicon and oxygen and almost no impurities.
Quartz Plates are of two types: coated and uncoated. The coated give high reflection and low loss. Its UV transmittance is as high as 95%+ while it absorbs infrared. As this brings extraordinary heat insulation effects, coated quartz plates are the first choice for UV device design.

softening point is 1650°C,and the melting point is 1650-1800°C.
